1 insane and unlikely trade every NFL team should make
Atlanta Falcons
Truth be told, I could’ve listed any defensive player here. That’s clearly the side of the ball the Falcons need help on. This is a win-now move, and given the start to the season for the Falcons, I don’t know if that’s possible this year. But given it is 2020, anything is possible.
Pat Pete is in the last year of his contract, and I am sure he is looking for his last ‘big pay day’ in the offseason. The Falcons desperately need help on the outside. They continue to blow leads because they can’t stop the pass. One of the best corners of the past decade can certainly help that.
The Cardinals will not ask for much in return for their aging superstar player. The Falcons time-table for winning is running out, they need to get better and do it fast. This is a low risk, high reward play. If Peterson doesn’t mesh with the Falcons, you can each go your separate way this offseason.
This is an absolute no-brainer for the Falcons. Pay the premium now and try to get the most out of the last couple years for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.
