2020 NFL power rankings, Week 7: Colts rally, Packers routed
The Bears had a little extra time to prepare for their clash with the Panthers in Charlotte. And Matt Nagy’s team got off to a quick start as an early takeaway set up a Nick Foles TD pass to rookie tight end Cole Kmet. Chuck Pagano’s defensive unit finished with four sacks and Chcago added three more takeaways. Foles did throw an interception and finished with 198 yards. All six of the team’s games have been decided by eight points or less.
The Bucs welcomed the unbeaten Packers on Sunday afternoon and their aggressive defense made life miserable for Aaron Rodgers. After spotting Green Bay a 10-0 in the first quarter, Todd Bowles’ unit harassed the veteran signal-caller into a pair of interceptions – one returned 32 yards for a touchdown by second-year cornerback Jamel Dean. Tampa’s defense gave up a mere 201 total yards while Ronald Jones ran for 113 yards and a pair of scores.
Matt LaFleur’s well-rested club made its way to Tampa to take on Tom Brady and the intriguing Buccaneers. The Packers jumped out to a 10-0 lead but in the blink of an eye, quarterback Aaron Rodgers wound up throwing a pair of interceptions – one returned for a score – and Tampa scored the final 38 points of the game. After allowing just three QB traps and committing zero turnovers, the Packers allowed five sacks and Rodgers served up those picks.
