The team is coming off its first loss of 2020 and will be hosting the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs on Monday night in a game originally scheduled for last Thursday evening. Buffalo’s defense continues to have some unexpected issues and couldn’t handle a Tennessee running game that finished with 139 yards. Despite a 4-1 mark and off that 42-16 loss to the Titans, the Bills have actually allowed more points (142) than they’ve scored (139).
For the third time in five games, Mike Vrabel’s club gave up at least 30 points and still found a way to win. It was a huge afternoon for Derrick Henry via 22 carries for 212 yards and two touchdowns, the second the game-winner in overtime. And his 53-yard catch-and-run in the extra session was the pivotal play in OT. While quarterback Ryan Tannehill did commit a pair of turnovers but did throw for 364 yards and four scores – two to wideout A.J. Brown.
The reigning AFC North champions made another short road trip as the made their way to Philadelphia. And John Harbaugh’s club appeared to be in control as they took a 30-14 lead with just over seven minutes to play. But the Eagles would make things interesting and had a chance to send the game into overtime but Matt Judon and L.J. Fort thwarted a two-point conversion. Lamar Jackson threw for one score and ran for 108 yards and a touchdown.
