Ezekiel Elliott is getting trolled for his fumbling issues Monday night

Elliott is being relied upon to step up for the Dallas Cowboys with Dak Prescott out for the remainder of the season. He did the exact opposite early in Monday night’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Elliott fumbled twice early and was removed for Tony Pollard in the second quarter. Fans took it upon themselves to send out some amazing tweets regarding Elliott and his fumbling.

Ezekiel Elliott rightfully taking heat

One fumble was something the running back could bounce back from. Two early on is a problem.

Elliott returned to the game in the second quarter and it is not like Mike McCarthy is going to banish him for the two fumbles. He can’t afford to do that with all the other injuries on the team. Fans are just hoping Elliott figures out how to tuck the ball away and avoid any more turnovers.

The offense is struggling mightily with Andy Dalton at quarterback and is still relying on Elliott even after his two turnovers. Putting Pollard in the game should send a message to the Cowboys star who has now fumbled the ball five times so far this season.

Turnovers lead to points and the Cardinals took a 21-0 lead with just under five minutes remaining in the second quarter. That means the Cowboys will need to throw the ball more just to try and keep the game competitive.

Next. Cowboys’ once-proud offensive line is in shambles. dark

The NFC East is a total disaster and even a blowout loss Monday night won’t hurt the Cowboys’ chances of winning the division. The goal now is to make sure Elliott figures out his fumbling problem so McCarthy doesn’t have to bench his Pro Bowl runner in favor of Pollard.
