45. . Cornerback. Denver Broncos. Patrick Surtain II. 13. player

The Denver Broncos got a huge win this past Sunday, as they went into Gillette Stadium and beat the New England Patriots. Of course, the Pats were coming off a week that was ruined by the pandemic, but it was still a great win, even though quarterback Drew Lock looked like he was trying to give the game away late.

Next April, the Broncos should use their first round pick to improve their secondary, and Patrick Surtain II is certain to be one of the first cornerbacks off the board. This guy comes from NFL stock, is outstanding in coverage, and would be an instant starter in this Denver defensive backfield.

Miami Dolphins. DeVonta Smith. 14. player. 59. . Wide Receiver

The Miami Dolphins hold two first round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, this after trading away Laremy Tunsil to the Houston Texans a few seasons ago. With the pick they get from Houston, who had a tough loss last weekend to Tennessee, look for them to bring quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a familiar face.

Tua and DeVonta Smith played at Alabama together, and like Jaylen Waddle, he has first round pick written all over him. He goes over the middle, can make big catches downfield, and would be an upgrade over anybody the Dolphins currently have playing the position.

player. 87. . Cornerback. Carolina Panthers. Caleb Farley. 15

The Carolina Panthers lost a tough game to the Chicago Bears this past weekend, and they suddenly look like a team that could miss the playoffs in Matt Rhule’s first season as head coach. On defense, they need more help in the secondary, so using the No. 15 overall pick on Caleb Farley makes a lot of sense.

Farley has opted out of the 2020 college football season, but he has put enough on tape that he will definitely be a first round pick next April. In Carolina, he would help improve a young defense that lost their leader in Luke Kuechly before the season, but one that is getting better every week.
