2021 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Fields takes over as a franchise savior
By Brad Weiss
The Dallas Cowboys were absolutely embarrassed by the Arizona Cardinals at home this past week, getting drubbed by Kyler Murray and company in primetime. They have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball, and the loss of quarterback Dak Prescott the week before certainly did not help.
On defense, they need more talent in the secondary, as Murray sliced and diced them all game long. Tyson Campbell from Georgia would be a nice addition to a cornerback room that added Trevon Diggs in the 2019 draft, bringing more young talent to a weak position group.
The Cleveland Browns are a tough team to figure out this season, as they look so good one weeks, and then struggle mightily the next. There is still no clear word on whether or not Baker Mayfield should be the guy moving forward, and that is something to keep an eye on as the season wears on.
On defense, they have some talented players up front along the defensive line, but I feel they should add an edge rusher in Carlos Basham Jr. This is a guy who can flat out get after the quarterback, and it would be a scary scenario seeing him teamed up with Myles Garrett.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers certainly look like a contender in the NFC after their drubbing of the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday. Playing against Aaron Rodgers and company, the Bucs got out to a slow start, but ended up proving that they are not a team to be taken lightly this season.
On defense, they have a tremendous pass rush, but they could still afford to bring in some more young talent off the edge. Quincy Roche is a guy who will likely land in the first round, and while this may be a bit high, I like the fit in Tampa Bay.
