2021 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Fields takes over as a franchise savior
By Brad Weiss
The Indianapolis Colts look like a real threat in the AFC South, though they have a lot of work to do if they are going to catch the Tennessee Titans. Philip Rivers had a tremendous game on Sunday, bringing his team back from an early deficit, as the Colts look to keep pace in a tight AFC for at least a Wild Card.
Staying with the passing game, the Colts need more weapons on the outside, and they get a good one here at No. 22 in Rondale Moore. Teaming Moore with T.Y. Hilton would give the Colts quarterback a nice tandem next year, and while we do not know who that will be, at least the weapons will be in place.
Thanks to the trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams during the 2019 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars will hold two first round picks next April. Whether or not they package them to move up and get a quarterback is yet to be seen, but here, they add the best tight end in the draft class.
Kyle Pitts is one of those pass-catching tight ends that every team needs, and he would be an excellent security blanket for Gardner Minshew, or whoever the quarterback is moving forward. Jacksonville has a great chance to really improve their team next April with two firsts, and hopefully for them, they make the right choices.
The Buffalo Bills have come down to earth a bit the last two weeks, especially after being beaten soundly by two likely playoff teams in the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo has the talent to make a run this season, and the AFC East is wide open, so I expect them to be picking later in round one next April.
At pick No. 24, the Bills improve their offensive line, bringing in a talented and strong offensive tackle in Stanford’s Walker Little. This guy has been one of the better OTs in college football the last few seasons, and he would start right away in Buffalo.
