FanDuel NFL 2020: Best lineup for Week 7

Wide Receiver: A.J. Brown $6,800

Wide receiver is an interesting position for Fanduel players this week. There are so many options to spend money on running backs and quarterbacks, it’s hard to make the argument that spending $8,900 on Davante Adams or $8,600 on Michael Thomas is a winning strategy.

There has to be a position where that money comes from. It’s more likely to come from running back, but the cheaper options are a crapshoot at best. There’s only so much money one can save from tight end and defense.

This brings things to A.J. Brown. Brown comes in at $6,800. He’s in between Will Fuller V and Odell Beckham Jr. Those are two of the most inconsistent receivers in the league. Meanwhile, Brown is here scoring a minimum of 17.7 points since the Titans returned to the field after a massive COVID-19 outbreak. He’s been a catalyst in helping Ryan Tannehill gain headlines over the past two weeks.

He’s facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is a tough matchup. They have a very good secondary, which is likely why Brown’s price is where it is. Pittsburgh has only allowed 18.8 points per game, second best in the league. However, they allow a touchdown more than 60 percent of the time a team makes it to the red zone. Brown scored both of his touchdowns in the red zone last week.

Just look at what Travis Fulgham was able to do two weeks ago. This secondary can get slashed. Brown has the talent to do it. It could be a boom or bust type day, but Brown has shown to be more than a boom than a bust on a weekly basis.
