Wide Receiver: Robby Anderson $6,400

There’s no denying what the Carolina Panthers have unlocked with Robby Anderson this season. He was the forgotten free agent, taking a two-year, $20 million contract this offseason. He’s been worth every penny so far. He hasn’t had a lot of success getting into the endzone (one touchdown on 51 targets), but he’s getting a lot of looks, which is leading to a lot of receptions.

He leads all receivers in total yards with 566. He’s on pace for more than 1,500 yards. Only DeAndre Hopkins has more receptions (45 to 40). Anderson has been among the league leaders in just about everything outside of touchdowns.

According to advanced statistics from NFL Savant, Anderson has seven targets in the red zone and only two receptions. He needs to do a better job of bringing down those targets when he’s close to the end zone. He’s getting looks when the Panthers are looking to score, but it isn’t turning into points.

This is still good news. Only 10 wide receivers have more red zone targets. Anderson is going to eventually get those touchdowns, and this could be the week the flood gates open. The receiving yards and the reception points might finally lead to touchdowns as well.

The Saints defense has been full of holes lately. Against the Los Angeles Chargers, they allowed three passing touchdowns in the red zone. This shows Anderson will likely get opportunities to finally score in the red zone.

This is a great matchup to get in on Anderson. His price is right where this needs to be. He can be a top scorer this week at $6,400. It’s the right idea to make this move while his price is still low.

Other Options: DK Metcalf $7,300, Chase Claypool $6,400
