Wide Receiver: Deebo Samuel $5,400

Obviously, there aren’t a lot of options when looking this far down in the receiver corps. There are flier options like Mecole Hardman and Tre’Quan Smith. There are consistent but low-scoring options like N’Keal Harry and Marquez Valdez-Scantling. Then, weirdly, there’s Deebo Samuel.

Samuel has been struggling to start this year after coming off a foot injury. It took him a long time to fully recover, but for the first time this season, it looks like he’s back to being the San Francisco 49ers top receiver.

Samuel had the game-clinching play against the Los Angeles Rams, where he got the ball on a 3rd and 7, ran through the Rams defense, and got past the marker. It was the type of play the 49ers were used to calling for Samuel, but this season it wasn’t an option. That was, until this past weekend.

Jimmy Garoppolo was also bad until this week after returning from injury. The 49ers are looking to bounce back from a rough start. They are facing a really good New England defense, which makes this a scary matchup. However, there are no better options when it comes to the depths of the wide receivers.

Some might hit like Chase Claypool did a few weeks ago, but for every Claypool there are 25 Demarcus Robinsons. Samuel is at least a known commodity that can make something happen, even against Stephon Gilmore. The Patriots usually focusing on stopping the other team’s best weapon. That’s George Kittle. If they focus on the tight end, it could open up a few plays for Samuel.

Other Low-Cost Options: Cole Beasley $5,100, Jerry Jeudy $5,600
