FLEX Option: D’Andre Swift $6,100

D’Andre Swift appears to have taken the reigns of the starting running back position from Adrian Peterson. That’s what it looks like on the surface, at least.

Sometimes with these Fanduel lineups, you have to take what the team is giving you. Swift appears to be the man in Detroit. Sure, the Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the better matchups for running backs this season, but it takes a good player to score to the tune of 25 points in one week.

Look at what Mike Davis was able to do against the Atlanta Falcons. He not only put up 89 yards rushing, but he added nine receptions, 60 yards, and a touchdown. Aaron Jones was able to put up 75 yards on the ground but added 40 yards and a touchdown through the air. Ezekiel Elliot had six receptions. Chris Carson had six receptions, 45 yards, and two touchdowns.

Swift is going to have a lot time to prove his worth, but the Falcons defense is going to give Swift a chance to thrive under most circumstances. This is going to be the last time you can get Swift at this price if all goes to plan. His big week last week is only the start. The Lions and Falcons are both desperate, which will lead to a lot of fun plays.

Swift’s skill set will be more apt to the play style than Peterson, meaning he will see the field a lot more.
