Just remember, one of these teams will be going to the playoffs.

Is this Jake Elliott’s final game in Philadelphia? If Eagles fans had a vote, they’d be shipping him out at halftime.

In what could only be described as a snooze fest showdown better known as Thursday Night Football, the Eagles faced off against their NFC East rival New York Giants. As the clocked ticked down into the closing seconds of the half, Philadelphia drove into Giants’ territory, hoping to walk away with more than a three-point lead.

Hope is strong, but so is the wind. Eagles’ fans are learning that the hard way heading towards the bathroom.

After Carson Wentz failed to connect with Travis Fulgham on a new flawless pass, the Eagles were forced to settle to a 29-yard chip shot. As the ball was hiked, something went askew since Elliott missed wide left to keep the score at 10-7.

Needless to say, the City of Brotherly Love’s Twitter feed was immediately posting away.

For the season, Elliott is 7-of-9 on field-goal attempts with a long 54 yards. And in a close game like this that could ultimately factor into who heads to the postseason, points are always a positive. Now, the Eagles will have to hope the missed kick doesn’t kick them in the head.

Philadelphia currently sits with a 1-4-1 record entering Thursday night. Through two quarters of play, Wentz has gone 15-of-26 for 171 yards and an interception.

Next. The NFC East could produce a 4-win playoff team, which is the saddest thing ever. dark
