Green Bay Packers (4-1) at Houston Texans (1-5), 1:00 pm

Packers: Last Sunday, a Green Bay team that had not turned over the football and allowed four sacks of Aaron Rodgers saw the veteran quarterback throw a pair of interceptions while being dumped four times. Of course, Houston’s 30th-ranked defense and a unit dead last in the league against the run may not be as formidable.

Texans: For the second straight week, the Texans put up at least 30 points. But the team’s struggling defense once again failed to answer the bell. On the other hand, only the Washington Football Team has gained fewer yards per game on the ground (82.2). Houston’s lack of offensive balance has made this a one-dimensional football team.

Carolina Panthers (3-3) at New Orleans Saints (3-2), 1:00 pm

Panthers: The team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end last week at home vs. the Bears and now they look to get a rare win in this NFC South series. Dating back to 2017 and including a playoff clash that first year, Carolina owns a 1-6 mark in this setting. And the lone win came in Week 17 when the Saints rested some starters.

Saints: Sean Payton’s club – off a week ago – is back above .500 thanks to come-from-behind wins over the Lions and Chargers, respectively. And speaking of returns, will wide receiver Michael Thomas be healthy enough to play on Sunday (via ESPN’s Mike Triplett). Running back Alvin Kamara leads the Saints with 38 receptions this season.
