Scouting Report. NFC. Green Bay Packers. 1. player. Pick Analysis. North. 49

How sure are we Aaron Rodgers‘ eyes didn’t roll into the back of his head once he found out Brown was joining Tom Brady‘s team in Tampa Bay? Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers were humiliated on the road by Brady’s Buccaneers last week. As with the Seattle Seahawks, the Buccaneers could potentially face the Packers in the NFC playoffs. Brady has Brown and sadly, Rodgers does not.

Once again, the Packers front office sat on its hands and didn’t do anything to help make life easier for its best player. They didn’t do it in the 2020 NFL Draft, which was the deepest wide receiver draft in recent memory. While the Green Bay front office can lie to its fanbase and say they were this close to trading for Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons, who’s going to really buy into that?

It’s been a decade since the Packers last played in a Super Bowl. For a hot minute there, Green Bay looked like the best team in the NFC … and then, the Buccaneers kicked any notion of that firmly to the curb in Week 6’s rout of the Packers at Raymond James. Rodgers may be playing up to his capabilities, but the Packers are running out of time to win another Super Bowl with him.

Though the Packers have Davante Adams as their clear No. 1 receiving option, he and seemingly the rest of the team’s receiving corps has been hurt this year. Green Bay needs all the offensive weaponry to keep pace with the likes of the Buccaneers and the Seahawks in the NFC. Now that Brown goes to Tampa Bay, Green Bay must accept it missed out on a big opportunity.

Will the Packers, Ravens or Seahawks regret not signing Brown when they had the chance?
