NFL DFS Bargain Bin: Week 7 Sunday Slates Wide Receivers

Terry McLaurin, WFT vs. DAL ($5,800-DK/$7,100-FD)

McLaurin is a repeat inclusion in this space after also being featured in Week 6, as he remains underpriced, particularly on DK, for a receiver that boasts his caliber of speed and sees as many targets as he does. The second-year wideout has no true threat to his volume within his position group, and he encouragingly logged 12 looks from Kyle Allen in Week 6, the latter’s first full game as a starter. As mentioned earlier in Allen’s entry, the Cowboys have made very few plays on the ball in the air (one interception all season), and it’s worth noting that’s helped lead to the second-most receiving touchdowns (11) allowed to wideouts, along with the fifth-most DK (46.8) and third-most FD (38.2) per game given up to the position.

Tee Higgins, CIN vs. CLE ($5,300-DK/$5,700-FD)

Higgins is already thriving as a downfield battery mate for fellow rookie Joe Burrow, as he sports a robust aDOT of 13.2 yards. His volume encouragingly continues to trend in the right direction as well, with the 21-year-old logging eight targets apiece in each of his last two contests and seeing no fewer than six in any game since being blanked back in Week 1. Higgins is making increasingly good use of the opportunities, as he’ll enter Sunday’s AFC North showdown coming off a career-best 125-yard output against the Colts. Meanwhile, the Browns’ deficiencies against the pass were discussed earlier in Burrow’s entry, and it’s also noteworthy they’ve yielded 13.1 yards per catch, the fourth-most yards (1,164) and third-most TDs (nine) to wideouts, resulting in Cleveland allowing the sixth-most DK (46.3) and fourth-most FD (37.9) points per game to the position.

Diontae Johnson, PIT at TEN ($4,200-DK/$5,800-FD)

Johnson is likely to largely be a forgotten man in DFS circles this week, considering he’s played all of six snaps from scrimmage since suffering a concussion in Week 3 against the Texans. Johnson is cleared from both that issue and the blow to the back he took in Week 5 against the Eagles, the latter injury having forced his Week 6 absence. He’s set for a timely return in this battle of unbeaten squads, and his salaries on either site are extremely appealing. Somewhat obscured by his extended absence is the fact Johnson saw a whopping 23 targets in Weeks 1 and 2 while playing a full complement of snaps, volume which he parlayed into a 14-149-1 line. The fact the Titans have been generous to WRs also helps Johnson’s cause — Tennessee comes in allowing a 69.5 percent catch rate, along with the fourth-most DK (47.2) and sixth-most FD (36.9) per game, to opposing wideouts.
