NFL Twitter hopes Antonio Brown brings unrest, not TDs to the Buccaneers
Antonio Brown signing with the loaded Buccaneers offense has a lot of NFL fans hoping the chemistry in Tampa Bay doesn’t work out.
Tom Brady has a new weapon in Tampa Bay: Antonio Brown.
The talented but troubled wide receiver agreed to a one-year deal with the Buccaneers on Friday, becoming arguably the biggest free-agent signing of the season.
Things always get interesting when Brown is involved and Tampa Bay should be no different.
The question on everyone’s mind: Will Brown be the good kind of interesting? Or the bad kind?
Along with excitement, there’s a lot of skepticism over Antonio Brown and the Bucs
First things first, let’s take a moment to appreciate how wild this development would have seemed to the world a few years back.
There may be a couple of quarterbacks out there looking at their front offices wondering why they couldn’t get a deal done.
There are definitely some fan bases frustrated by it all.
It’s easy to see why. On paper, Brown adds to an already loaded offense for Tampa Bay.
For the neutral or the Buccaneers fan, that collection of weapons is mouthwatering.
Then again, it’s no sure thing.

Make no mistake, opposing fans are absolutely hoping for Brown’s impact to be a net negative for the Buccaneers.
If you’re big into fantasy football, chemistry and team performance matters a lot less then pure production.
Despite playing games for just two franchises, Brown’s career has turned into quite the odyssey.
He was drafted out of Central Michigan in the sixth round and went on to seven Pro Bowls and four First-Team All-Pro selections with the Steelers.
Things soured with the team in 2018 when behavioral problems led to a trade to the Raiders. He never played for the team though as his brief few months in Oakland were punctuated by injury and problematic behavior. He was released in September and ended up being picked up by the Patriots. His stint in New England only lasted one game as sexual assault allegations came to light.
Since then, Brown has implied retirement multiple times and was suspended by the league over the summer for eight games because of his many personal-conduct violations. That suspension will end ahead of Tampa Bays’ Week 9 game against New Orleans.
