Yes, Tom Brady has all the power and is using it to his advantage.

For anyone that doesn’t believe Tom Brady holds all the power in Tampa Bay, think again. All is going according to plan and now, Antonio Brown soon will be back working with the G.O.A.T. for 2020.

According to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle, Brown would travel to Tampa Bay to visit with the Buccaneers. Later confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the two parties later agreed to a deal that would bring him to Raymond James Stadium on a one-year contract.

All of this has done behind the likes of Brady, who certainly is building his roster of friends. And this isn’t the first time Brady has entered the chat when trying to add talent either.

After three struggling seasons of connecting with receivers in New England, Brady hit the jackpot by landing in Bruce Arians’ system that already featured two 1,000-yard targets in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Still, even with a pair of quality tight ends in Cameron Brate and OJ Howard, Brady called Rob Gronkowski and found a way to add him to explosive arsenal via trade.

The two might be the deadliest combination the NFL has ever seen. During their nine-year stay in Foxborough, the dynamic duo lit up the stat sheet with 538 catches for 8,079 yards and 80 touchdowns. In Tampa, Gronkowski has tallied 17 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown.

Was this a deal always expected to happen?

Brady played an essential role last season in adding Brown to the Patriots following his release from the Raiders. After much consideration, the team added the former Steelers star, and Brown performed like one his first game, finishing with four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. The following week though, he would be released, much to Brady’s disappointment.

Many believed this deal was inevitable following Brady’s initial signing due to their strong relationship. However, Arians denied the claim, stating the reunion was ‘not going to happen’.

“Yeah, it’s not going to happen,” Arians said during an interview on CBS Sports radio (h/t boston.com) earlier this year. “There’s no room. And probably not enough money. But it’s not going to happen. It’s not a fit here.”

With Godwin missing time and the Seattle Seahawks interested in Brown’s services, Arians had to cave. Despite being one of the league’s darling diva’s few talents have been as explosive as Brown throughout his 10-year career. Adding a talent like his to an already quality offense only will boost Tampa’s status as top dog in the NFC.

Much like Jerry Jones, if Brady wants something, he’ll get it. The rich get richer and TB12 strikes again in making his new team the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
