1. Tre’Quan Smith (NO)

Game: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (Sunday, 10/25, 1:00 pm EST)

Michael Thomas is still battling injury and general turmoil, so he won’t play in Week 7. Emmanuel Sanders evidently has the pesky coronavirus. Drew Brees will have to throw the ball to Gayle Benson before too long.

Kidding aside, the logical next man up will be Tre’Quan Smith. He’s a serviceable WR3 through the last three seasons. On Sunday, Brees will expect him to serve as an interim WR1. We know that the Saints will utilize Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook aerially, but the wideouts will be called upon a bit, too. Smith is the defacto nominee.

The Panthers have an astute passing defense. Don’t expect to see Smith with oodles of points but he’ll register enough to make him a worthy FLEX option.

2. Christian Kirk (ARI)

Game: Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, 10/25, 8:20 pm EST)

You might have drafted Kirk toward the very end of your draft several weeks ago to round out your team. For a while, that felt like a mistake. Signs of life have now appeared. Kirk has nabbed three scores in the last three weeks, and this is the version of the 23-year-old most expected to see in Kliff Kingsbury’s Air Raid offense.

How’s this for a medley? The Air Raid offense with a hot Cardinals team at home vs. the NFL’s worst passing defense? That’s what the NFL has on tap for Sunday Night Football.

It’s advisable to start as much offense in your lineups as you can from this contest because the Seahawks aren’t allowed to play in games sans a shootout affair.
