2. The Saints add a veteran pass rusher in Carlos Dunlap

The Bengals, who have just one win this season and likely went into the year with a seller’s mentality, might’ve kicked the tires on trading Dunlap. However, after Dunlap pulled a George Costanza and tried to get himself kicked out of Cincinnati by posting the defensive line rotations and the specifics on his place in the city, the Bengals will almost assuredly get rid of the 11-year veteran who has spent his entire career in Cincinnati.

Having fallen out of his starting role and only having mustered one sack, New Orleans might be able to pick him up for pennies on the dollar.

Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport have been doing a serviceable job of getting edge pressure, especially the former, but adding Dunlap to that rotation could give them one of the league’s best trios. While Dunlap isn’t thrilled about his reduced playing time, something tells us he’ll be more accepting of a timeshare on the edge playing in the Superdome for a contending team in New Orleans as opposed to freezing his butt off on a lousy Bengals defense. With the Saints defense currently looking like a top-heavy unit, Dunlap would be a quality depth addition.
