College GameDay heading to The Masters is something football and golf fans will absolutely enjoy

While we’ve seen College GameDay head all over the country to touch base with some of the biggest and best fan bases out there, taking the show to The Masters is something that will be so incredibly special, especially during the trying times in the United States because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Given the circumstances brought about by the pandemic, the delivery of quality content is as important as ever to the storytelling of the Masters Tournament,” Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club Fred Ridley said in a release. “While we will dearly miss our patrons at Augusta National this fall, we are excited to showcase what promises to be a truly memorable Masters in a variety of ways for viewers around the world.”

While there will be no fans for the tournament, the College GameDay team will make its way to the course prior to the third round getting underway.

Per the statement, the crew will be set up overlooking Ike’s pond and the 9th green. The Masters is all set to start on Thursday, Nov. Nov. 12 and will run through Sunday, Nov. 15.
