Tyler Lockett – Seattle Seahawks

While almost all the focus in Seattle has been on Russell Wilson’s quest for his first league MVP award, the forever underrated Tyler Lockett has been putting together another hugely impressive campaign.

Lockett’s season reached its zenith in the Seahawks’ Monday Night Football overtime loss to the Cardinals as he hauled in 15 receptions for a career-high 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Though his remarkable game was not enough to prevent Seattle from falling to 5-1 with a thrilling 37-34 loss to their NFC West rivals, his ridiculous tally of fantasy points will have been the decisive factor in a plethora of matchups.

Lockett ended the game with a massive 53 points in PPR leagues, leading all scorers in that format, with Green Bay Packers star Davante Adams his closest challenger with 44.6.

He now has 542 yards and a league-leading seven touchdowns on the season and, given his excellent rapport with a quarterback who has been the best in football in 2020, Lockett is a must-start at the wide receiver position in all leagues.

A sterner test potentially awaits him in Week 8 as the Seahawks go up against a 49ers pass defense that has stifled the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots in successive weeks. As they have shown throughout this season, though, the Seahawks have the offensive firepower to overcome any challenge and another huge day for Lockett cannot be ruled out.
