2. Flip Tony Gonsolin for a major difference-maker in the offseason

If you only watched the World Series, you would think that Tony Gonsolin was a cat-obsessed placeholder who was only started because the Dodgers ran out of options. However, Gonsolin has posted a 2.60 ERA in 20 regular-season games, showing how filthy he can be when he has his strikeout stuff working. The Dodgers are loaded in a rotation that is led by Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw, meaning that if they want to make another big trade, Gonsolin could be on the move.

Even with Gonsolin excluded from the equation, the Dodgers can lean on Buehler and Kershaw at the top of their rotation with fellow homegrown pitchers Julio Urias and Dustin May at the back end. While he sat out the 2020 season and it easy to simply forget, David Price is still a Dodger and remains a quality left-handed veteran. Gonsolin is running out of spots to prove himself in LA, and his value has never been lower considering his World Series performance.

Even after his performance against Tampa Bay, he would be an intriguing get for any team that is interested in young starting pitching and looking to contend, and trading him could get the Dodgers another superstar.
