College football DFS wide receiver picks October 31:

Top Tier:

How much will Ole Miss actually throw against Vanderbilt? Considering the strength of their rush offense of late, I’m more inclined to play Terrace Marshall. Finley looked his way a ton last weekend and with this likely to be a close game, Marshall has a much higher ceiling than Elijah Moore this weekend.

Tylan Wallace may have the highest ceiling on the slate against that Texas defense. Oklahoma State has some talented receivers, but Wallace is clearly the best option.

In the upper middle tier, I see no reason to take chances on the Texas, Clemson, or Ole Miss receivers. There are several options who are the number one options in the offense below them. That said, Joshua Moore has scored for Texas in every game but the TCU game.

Middle Tier:

Western Michigan transfer Jayden Reed was the lone bright spot for Michigan State last week, hauling in 11 passes. I don’t like the price against a secondary like Michigan, but we did see Bateman have a nice game against the Wolverines last week. Reed is an interesting GPP play.

Seth Williams re-established himself as the go-to receiver for Auburn last week. The Tigers are going to have to throw to win here. I expect Williams to be heavily involved in this one.

With Damonte Coxie no longer with the team, Calvin Austin exploded against Temple, going for nearly 200 receiving yards. Memphis does spread it around and there wont be many games where Dykes only has one reception, but Austin looks like a very high upside play.

Xavier Hutchinson is doing well in the Iowa State offense. He is the go-to receiver with Tarique Milton out. Kolar is going to steal some red zone targets, but Hutchison has the biggest upside and carries the least amount of risk.

Whop doesn’t mean the same thing in 2020 as it did in 2019 unless you quantify it by adding Philyor. The Indiana wideout is a massive part of the offense and the numbers will only grow as Penix gets more comfortable running the team. Philyor is one of my favorite WR options this week

Bargain Shoppers:

I’m going to have some shares of Zay Flowers even against Clemson. Georgia Tech shut down Flowers, but someone with this much speed is a threat no matter the opponent.

Despite the huge numbers of Austin, Tahj Washington still hauled in nine passes last week. Memphis is still going to throw the ball a lot, especially against a team like Cincinnati where they will have to throw the ball to stay within shouting distance.

Okay Kwamie Lassiter, you get one more chance. He was the favorite target of new quarterback Jalen Daniels. While I expect Daniels to struggle against the Cyclones, Lassiter should still have a nice day for his dirt cheap price.

I expect Alec Pierce to be a larger part of the Cincinnati offense this week, especially if this game hits the over. However, Wisconsin transfer Aron Cruickshank may be my favorite bargain play. Rutgers has a quarterback that likes to throw and Cruickshank was one of Vedral’s favorite targets.
