Monday, Nov. 2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) at New York Giants (1-6), 8:15 pm

Buccaneers: Bruce Arians’ team has bounced back in resounding fashion the last two games following that 20-19 Thursday night loss at Chicago. The Buccaneers rolled the Packers and Raiders by a combined 63-30 score. In those contests, quarterback Tom Brady threw for 535 and six scored without an interception. In fact, Bruce Arians’ team did not commit a turnover in either contest. And the Tampa Bay running game is becoming a factor as well thanks to the two-headed monster of Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette makes this a very-balanced attack. Meanwhile, Todd Bowles aggressive defensive unit has totaled 25 sacks and the Bucs have totaled 12 takeaways this season.

Giants: Progress is certainly being made under new head coach Joe Judge and the defense has had its moments this season. But the club still has to learn how to close out games and that was never more evident than in the Thursday night loss in Philadelphia in which the team owned a 21-10 with a little over six minutes to play. Second-year quarterback Daniel Jones continues to grow but his issues with ball security remain a problem. He’s now played a total of 20 games in the league and while he’s thrown 29 touchdown passes this year leads the team with 296 rushing yards, he’s thrown 19 interceptions and even more concerning, lost 15 of his 23 fumbles.
