15. NFC South. player. New Orleans Saints. 2. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis.

New Orleans’ pass rush is struggling with the likes of Marcus Davenport and Cameron Jordan controlling the edge. The duo has only combined for only 3.5 of the team’s 14 sacks. With Davenport struggling in Dennis Allen’s system, maybe the franchise should move on from him before he becomes another first-round problem who’s sticking around.

Mickey Loomis might be able to save his first-round pick if Davenport is offered along with a second-round selection. The Texans need a pass rusher and in Anthony Weaver’s 3-4 system, perhaps he’ll see similar success to that of Whitney Mercilus when the team transitioned schemes. Plus, with two more years on the deal, Houston would have a talent that could be a part of the rebuild.

The Saints are going for it all with Drew Brees’ last hoorah on the horizon. Watt, Jordan and Trey Hendrickson would be a trio that could easily disrupt quarterbacks in the NFC South on their way to reclaiming the top spot in the division. The defense now isn’t going to be ready to take on Tampa Tom Brady later this season. With Watt, they’re somewhat ready.
