Late night college football DFS picks October 31

College football DFS wide receiver picks October 31:
Top Tier:
I would guess that Gunner Romney wont play, which means Dax Milne is the second-highest player on the slate. I can’t say that it’s unfounded, but my fears with Milne are the same as with Wilson. Both could come up big, but they need multiple touchdowns to pay off the price. Will that happen?
Romeo Doubs netted 18 targets and Cole Turner had nine for the Wolfpack. This offense has a strong-armed quarterback that can throw 50 times a game. Most of those are going to these two receivers. Doubs has a higher floor, but neither are a bad pick. I’d rather use both of them than pay top dollar for Milne.
Middle Tier:
However, if Elijah Cooks does return, he could steal some of the target volume from the top two options. I’m not sure I would run Cooks, but it if he is at 100% for this price, he’s too cheap.
For what its worth, Deven Thompkins was the most targeted Utah State receiver. That at least gives him a decent floor even if he doesn’t have much for yardage to go with it.
So, who’s the second option in the BYU passing attack with Romney out? It’s Neil Pau’u. The issue with that is he doesn’t have a reception over 25 yards. If you want a cheap piece of this BYU attack, tight end Isaac Rex has three touchdowns and is more of a threat.
Bargain Shoppers:
Elijah Kothe was the leading receiver for San Diego State last week. Kobe Thomas didn’t even catch a pass. This is a rough situation that is high risk all around.
The Western Kentucky passing “attack” is a myth. The only safe piece with Pigrome under center is tight end Joshua Simon. Dayton Wade is the leading receiver over the last three games though, but he doesn’t have a touchdown catch.
