3 trades the Bears need to make this offseason to fix the offense

The Bears’ offensive line, especially on the interior, is crumbling to dust right before our very eyes. Starters are dropping like flies due to injury and poor performance. It doesn’t matter if the immobile Foles or the nervous Mitch Trubisky is under center, getting swamped with interior pressure is a recipe for disaster.
Rather than looking at a barren free-agent market or a 2020 draft that is very thin outside of one or two studs at the very top, the Bears could swing a deal for Andrew Norwell, a controllable guard who would be under contract for two more seasons. It would take some picks, but Jacksonville is clearly in tank mode, so it won’t be hard to sway them.
Norwell signed a five-year contract with Jacksonville in 2017 after an All-Pro season with the Carolina Panthers. While he has been well short of All-Pro since making the switch from Charlotte to Duval County, Norwell has been a rock-solid guard in run and pass protection, and he would instantly be the best starter on that Bears line. Foles might not be great, but Matt Nagy can’t expect a 6-foot-6 quarterback with the lateral agility of a tree to make plays with pressure in his face. Norwell would be a big step towards fixing that.
