In the third game of the group stage, Atalanta host Liverpool at Gewiss Stadium. The Goddess are second in the group with four points, while the Reds are first in the group with six points.

Atalanta drew with Ajax in their last Champions League game. The Italian club is attempting to get out of the group stage for the second straight season. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini’s attacking style should lead to a very entertaining stylistic matchup against Liverpool. The Goddess will turn to Duvan Zapata, Papu Gomez and Luis Muriel to lead the attack. The trio has combined for 15 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Liverpool have gotten off to a perfect start to the group stage. In the Premier League, the Reds are first in the table as they chase their second straight league title. While Liverpool are winning, they are not without their flaws. In their seven Premier League games, the Reds have conceded 15 goals. Up against one of the best attacks they have played all season, Liverpool could be vulnerable defensively. While the Reds have allowed more than two goals per game in the Premier League, they can outscore their mistakes. Mohamad Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Joto have combined for 16 goals in all competitions.
