Scores for Week 8 of the NFL Season continued…

13. Final. 31. 45. 30

Reaction: This game defined the Chargers. Exactly what you’d expect. They jump out to a big lead over the Broncos only to blow it and lose in the last seconds on a KJ Hamler touchdown. Tough luck for Chargers fans. Not many takeaways from this game. The Chargers have found something in Justin Herbert which will be very promising for long term success. Every Chargers game is exciting. They all seem to be high scoring with Justin Herbert. As for the Broncos, Drew Lock led a great drive at the end of the game. I still am not convinced in him as the long term fix, but he certainly is talented. It would be nice if his pass catchers could remain healthy to truly judge how good he could be.

15. 23. 57. Final/OT. 26

Reaction: This game went down exactly as I predicted. The Bears would keep the game close but in the end, Drew Brees would pull out the win. It took some overtime but it happened. Both of these teams will likely make the playoffs, but neither team has looked overwhelmingly dominant this year. It’ll be interesting to see how the eventual return of Michael Thomas helps this Saints offense. Right now, all they have is Alvin Kamara and it shows. Nick Foles hasn’t run away with this job. I still wouldn’t be surprised to see Mitch Trubisky start another game for the Bears this season. I’ve seen crazier things. Big showdown for both of these teams next week as the Saints travel to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers and the Bears travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans.
