4. D.K. Metcalf goes up against Tre’Davious White

Metcalf might be the most fun player in the NFL to watch on a weekly basis. He finds a way to produce at least one amazing play every time he takes the field. This week, Tre’Davious White gets the daunting task of trying to slow him down when the Bills take on the Seahawks.

White is a great player in his own right, even if he hasn’t played at an elite level in 2020. Even at his slightly diminished state, he’s the only chance Buffalo has of keeping Metcalf under wraps. The Bills aren’t going to line White up on an island against Metcalf, but he should follow him all over the field on Sunday as his primary defender.

Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are also going to shoulder heavy responsibility when it comes to keeping Metcalf under control. They will need to give White help over the top anytime Seattle chooses to run an intermediate or deep pass pattern with their gifted wideout.

The challenging thing for the Bills is that they aren’t guaranteed victory even if they shut Metcalf down. Tyler Lockett is still a devastating weapon for Seattle on the other side of the formation. The only thing Buffalo knows for sure is that they’re doomed if Metcalf has a big day. Shutting down such a white-hot wide receiver is a huge challenge for the Bills secondary.
