College football DFS quarterback picks November 7:

Top Tier:

We saw Spencer Rattler play just one half against Missouri State in the opener. This game will be decided early as well. In that game, Rattler still racked up 27.7 DraftKings points. He’s the safest top option on the slate.

How long will it take for Desmond Ridder to get respect? He has been marred by inconsistency for much of his career. However, he has never had this long of a streak of success. It’s time to take it seriously. I’ll be very shocked if it doesn’t continue against this Houston defense.

This is a good spot for Kedon Slovis, but we have seen left coast teams struggle with noon eastern start times. It throws their entire day out of whack. I like Slovis, but I think I’m going a full fade of this game. There are still 12 others to choose from. That’s a lot of options.

DraftKings finally raised the price on Spencer Sanders, but with the way that he played against Texas, I’m not sure it matters. Kansas State will give up the deep ball and Oklahoma State has plenty of receivers to go get them.

Middle Tier:

What will Taulia Tagovailoa do for an encore? He could do some damage against Penn State. Both Penix and Fields gave them problems. Taulia is somewhere in between those two in terms of skill set. We saw Taulia take a big step in the Minnesota game. He may take another one here.

Those Michigan State receivers are really good. They are so good they make Rocky Lombardi look like a solid QB. I don really care for the matchup, but Michigan wasn’t that great of a matchup for Lombardi either. He should still hit 20 DraftKings points or more. That’s a nice return for the price.

Michigan’s defense hasn’t looked good yet, so Michael Penix at this price looks very enticing. Part of me thinks that Michigan will rally around their overrated coach and give a max effort here. Even if they do, Penix should pay off this price. If Michigan shows up, it only means that Indiana will throw more. This looks like a win/win for Penix.

South Carolina transfer Jake Bentley looks like a nice play against Arizona’s defense. I don’t really know how Utah is going to use him, but if they let him throw more than the Utes usually do, he could be in for a nice game here.

Bargain Shoppers:

We all saw what Oklahoma did to Texas Tech last week, right? There aren’t many situations where I’ll use Max Duggan, but this might be one of them. TCU’s lack of skill players around him make him a risk, but this Texas Tech defense has been gouged over and over. However, Jarret Doege had his third straight game over 300 yards passing last week. There’s no way Texas is holding him under that.

Life in the SEC hasn’t been all great for Stetson Bennett, especially in a run oriented offense. However, the Florida defense has not been good at all. Georgia is still a really talented team and Bennett is really cheap against a subpar defense.

Coran Taylor is minimum price against a Minnesota defense that has been torn apart by two offenses that are middle of the road at best. I love Taylor as a GPP play here.
