Fantasy Football Player of the Year Award Winner:

15. . Running Back. New Orleans Saints. Alvin Kamara. 1. player

Stats: 431 rushing yards, 55 catches for 556 yards and 7 total touchdowns.

We just talked about him. He is the best return on value of any #1 draft pick that there was this season. Kamara is on pace for not only the best year of his career, but also a historic one in that. On pace to do what very few running backs have ever done: a 1000 yard rushing and 1000 yard receiving year. With the loss of Michael Thomas for the first half of the year, Kamara has had to step up big time. He has 55 receptions, well on pace to shatter his career high of 81 in a season. Kamara has been the heartbeat of this offense. His stats will likely take a step back as Michael Thomas returns but he will become more efficient with his touches.

Kamara is the Saints most talented player on the field and they love to get the ball in his hand. He has been healthy all year and continues to take on a big workload. I gave him the slight edge over Henry and Cook based on his consistency this year. Kamara is a top 5 running back in the NFL and he’s one of the most electric players out there.
