Coach of the Year Award Winner

Mike Tomlin. 1. player. 55. . Coach. Pittsburgh Steelers

Record: 7-0

Hard to argue against perfection. Mike Tomlin has always been a great coach, just often times goes unrecognized. He helped tame the attitudes of Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown which seems impossible in this day and age, but more importantly, he continues to win football games. Tomlin and his staff continues to draft and breed young wide receivers into starts (Chase Claypool the most recent). The Steelers are just a well coach football team. No way around it. They are strong on all sides of the ball and they are disciplined. They don’t make stupid mistakes that could cost them the game.

I am excited to see where the rest of the season takes the Steelers. I don’t see them going undefeated as that is next to impossible to do, but they could easily be a 14-2 team when the regular season is up. I would love to see a Chiefs vs Steelers matchup in the playoffs. Wouldn’t get much better than that. Lastly, not only is Tomlin a great coach on the field, he’s even better off the field. He is one of the first coaches to address and speak out on social issues, which I find important.
