Comeback Player of the Year Award Runners Up:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rob Gronkowski. 3. player. 48. . Tight End

One could argue that Cam Newton deserves this spot, but have you watched him play the last couple weeks? Insert Rob Gronkowski. Every loves Gronk. He has returned to form these past few weeks. He just needed a ‘pre-season’ to knock the rust off. He has 4+ receptions and a touchdown in 3 straight games. I look for him to keep getting better as the season goes on. #GronkSpike.

player. 58. . Quarterback. Washington Commanders. Alex Smith. 2

It is hard to argue with him being #1. If you haven’t seen Project 11 based on Alex Smith’s road to recovery, watch a short clip here. He had a life threatening injury, and he not only returned back to full health, but he played in an NFL Game. I considered putting him first but at this rate, he will have only seen the field once all year, and despite that being a miracle in itself, I wanted to give this award to a player that has been on the field week in and week out and has helped lead his team to an undefeated record. This feels like more of a 1A and a 1B.
