NFL Week 9 2020: Picks and predictions for each game
The Panthers have real talent. D.J. Moore ad Robby Anderson are on pace to combine for more than 2,500 receiving yards, Teddy Bridgewater is completing better than 71 percent of his attempts, and Christian McCaffrey is coming back. Still, Kansas City is the best team in football and has Patrick Mahomes.
Pick: Kansas City 32, Carolina 24
Starting Jake Luton feels like a full-on tanking move for Jacksonville. It’s very hard to see Deshaun Watson losing to him. Also, if you’re watching this game of your own free will, know you’re better than that. You’re worth more.
Pick: Houston 30, Jacksonville 7
This game is going to be so bad it’s good. Expect tons of big mistakes, blown leads, chunk plays and ultimately a feeling of nausea. Good times down in Georgia.
Pick: Atlanta 31, Denver 26
The loser is suddenly in trouble. Each come in with a two-game losing streak. Tennessee is the better team, but it’s so bad on third down, the Bears have a shot if they can stay near or ahead of the sticks. Still, when in doubt, take the better quarterback.
Pick: Tennessee 23, Chicago 20
This should be a great game. Both can play defense and each needs the game in a tight divisional race. Baltimore is the better team but the Colts are home. Ultimately, do you trust Lamar Jackson or Philip Rivers more?
Pick: Baltimore 24, Indianapolis 22
