The new college football rankings feature a shake-up in the AP Top 25 after the Clemson-Notre Dame and Florida-Georgia games.

Clemson held onto the No. 1 spot in the Week 10 AP Top 25 by two points after surviving an upset attempt by Boston College before pulling away in the fourth quarter. The Week 11 AP Top 25 was guaranteed to have at least one team in the top four lose with Clemson at Notre Dame, which opened the possibility for Alabama to move to the No. 1 spot.

After two overtimes, Notre Dame upset Clemson who lost in the regular season for the first time since Oct. 13, 2017, when they lost to Syracuse. This opens the door for Alabama to move to No. 1, Ohio State to No. 2, Notre Dame up to No. 3 and Clemson drops from No. 1 to No. 4 despite losing in double overtime without Trevor Lawrence.

The second big change in the AP Top 25 comes in the SEC East with Florida moving back into the top four after knocking off Georgia and taking control of the division and rejoining the College Football Playoff conversation. Not to be overlooked in the SEC West is Texas A&M who has a big win over Florida and a manageable schedule the rest of the way. With a few more upsets in the top four, the Aggies could make the playoff after coming through the side door.

Cincinnati and BYU are still undefeated and hoping to be a part of the playoff conversation but face an uphill battle outside the Power Five conferences.

The Pac-12 started their season with ranked teams, Oregon and USC looking to make some noise and move up the college football rankings.

Editor’s Note: Teams marked with an asterisk are in progress and will be updated to reflect the outcome of the game.
