This week, Sunday Night Football presents a clash of NFC teams. Let’s take a look at this FanDuel single game slate from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player picks for Sunday night football, let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Notable DFS Injuries

New Orleans Saints: WR Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) QUESTIONABLE.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: G Ali Marpet (concussion) OUT; WR Chris Godwin (finger) QUESTIONABLE.

Let’s shift our focus to the rules for the FanDuel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for Sunday Night Football!

MVP

Tom Brady, QB $16,500

The New Orleans Saints defense is ranked 28th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position. To be more specific, through seven games played this season, the Saints are allowing an average of 21.81 fantasy points to quarterbacks. Friends, that is not good.

Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady is certainly transitioning to his new team in a positive way. Through eight games played this season, Brady has 20 passing touchdowns and 2,189 passing yards. It should also be noted that the Tampa Bay offense is currently third in the NFL in red zone success rate (77.42%). That is outstanding offensive efficiency in the red zone.

Based on all the data I just mentioned, I think the Saints defense is going to struggle to contain Tom Brady on Sunday. Fade Tom Brady at your own risk.

Alvin Kamara, RB $14,500

Tampa Bay has allowed 51 receptions to running backs this season, which is third most in the NFL. Additionally, through eight games played, the Buccaneers are dead last in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the running back position.

Now let’s turn our attention to Alvin Kamara. Through seven games played, Kamara has a whopping 55 receptions, 556 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Alvin has also been a force running the ball. Kamara has amassed 431 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Frankly, it’s hard to believe that Kamara has put together those type of numbers in only seven football games.

Jared Cook $10,000

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been looking Cook’s way often lately. In the last three games played, Cook has accumulated ten receptions, 135 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Through seven games played this season, Cook is currently averaging 9.73 FanDuel points a game.

Rob Gronkowski, TE $9,500

Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski has been highly involved in the team’s offense over the course of the last month. In Tampa Bay’s last four games played, Gronkowski has been targeted by Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady 26 times. Gronkowski has turned those 26 targets into 17 receptions, 233 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns.

Will Lutz $9,000

The Saints Will Lutz has attempted 10 field goals in the last three games. Lutz has converted nine of the ten field goals he has attempted in the three game stretch just mentioned. I love the high number of opportunities that the Saints kicker is getting to score points. So far this season, Lutz is averaging 10.57 FanDuel points a game.
