3 Wild Card teams that could cause serious damage in the NFL playoffs
There’s no such thing as a “good loss”, but Kliff Kingsbury has plenty to build off Sunday. A win against the Dolphins would have put Arizona in a tie with the Seahawks for first-place in the NFC West. Instead, they remain locked in for a playoff berth as an early wild card spot.
Kyler Murray has flourished in Year 2 thanks to his mobility and development of making plays on the run. Even in a loss, the former Sooner threw for 283 yards, led the team with 106 rushing yards and scored four total times. Outside of the fumble on the team’s first drive, Murray was near perfect, specifically in the second half.
The defense still is playing well, holding Miami to a pair of field goals on drives that could have sealed the game. Arizona also finished with over 100 more yards of total offense and is seeing some quality play from Christian Kirk as their No.2 weapon. With games against the Giants, Eagles and Patriots, a majority of their harder outings are finished.
If they can split the NFC West games, there’s a chance they’re hosting a playoff game. If not, they’re at least going to play the spoiler role for one opponent.
