AFC. West. 28. Pick Analysis. Las Vegas Raiders. 3. player. Scouting Report

Could you make an argument that in any other division, the Raiders might be leading the charge? Probably so. Even with a wild finish against the Chargers on the road, Las Vegas held their own once more. It’s taken time, but Jon Gruden has both sides of the ball playing competitively and giving teams reasons to fear them any given Sunday.

Derek Carr has rebounded immensely in a prove-it year, tallying over 2,000 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Josh Jacobs’ bull-rushing style of play adds a second element to the offense in the run game. Even though the team is struggling to create sacks, the defense is doing enough to see opponents drives end on a sour note.

Looking ahead, Las Vegas will have the toughest schedule of those in the playoff hunt. If they can win against teams such as Miami, Kansas City and a rematch against Los Angeles at home, will they have earned the respect they’ve deserved up to this point? The Raiders have proven when healthy, they can defeat any team in wins against New Orleans and Kansas City.

If they make it into the postseason, any slip-up from their opponent likely could mean a win for the boys out of Sin City.
