1. Best player on a Super Bowl favorite

This is the easy one. Mahomes is the best player on the best team in football. His value is immeasurable because he is just that good.

The Chiefs have the second-best record in football at 8-1. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the league’s lone remaining undefeated team, but Sunday’s close call against the Dallas Cowboys would make it tough to predict the Steelers could take down the Chiefs in a playoff game right now.

Kansas City has scored the most points in the league and Mahomes is a huge reason why. Think about this past week in which the Chiefs took on the Carolina Panthers. Both Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Le’Veon Bell were available in the backfield.

That duo combined for nine carries and 22 yards. Mahomes carried the offense and finished with 372 yards and four touchdowns. If he isn’t in that game and the running backs get shut down, that is a snoozer in favor of the Panthers.

dark. Next. Mahomes saved the Chiefs with big plays vs. Panthers

Mahomes is the top reason why the Chiefs are favorites to win the Super Bowl once again. That type of value vaults him to the top of any MVP talk, and his stats back up his case. The goal is to win championships and if Mahomes puts his team in a position to do that, this is a no-brainer.
