College football DFS wide receiver picks November 13:

Top Tier:

The one piece of the Minnesota offense that I might have shares of is Rashod Bateman. If Minnesota has any prayer of staying in this game, Bateman needs to have a huge game. His floor is high enough that he wont seriously hurt us even in an off game.

I do like Alec Pierce here if he plays, but I would say that chances of that are pretty slim. The Bearcats wont need Pierce here and this is a team that could really put the CFP committee in an uncomfortable situation. What happens if Cincy runs the table and goes 10-0 and the Buckeyes only play four or five games? I digress. My point is Cincy has a lot more things on their mind than a blowout of ECU. They wont risk Pierce here I wouldn’t think.

Middle Tier:

It appears as though Ihmir Smith-Marsette will play this week which is bad news for the Gophers. His quarterback is inconsistent which caps his value, but Iowa has been known to run him on sweeps out of the backfield too. There’s decent upside here.

The Bearcats have run a lot with Pierce out, but Michael Young has still had some productive games as the de facto number 1 receiver. He’s not going to to anything earth-shattering, but his floor is solid. Don’t underestimate that. Tre Tucker might have more upside, but he’s a lot more of a risk.

Bargain Shoppers:

The FAU-FIU game is mostly a fantasy wasteland. There’s a reason why the players are so cheap. Still, TJ Chase has at least been consistently solid. I like his floor and he has decent upside if FAU tries to throw more.

Bryce Singleton has been about the only bright spot on the FIU offense, but horrible quarterback play really limits him. If Bortenschlager draws the start, I do like Singleton as a sleeper pick.

Josh Whyle is way too cheap if Pierce is out. If you feel like you want to throw a dart in the ECU passing game, C.J. Johnson looks like the best bet. Blake Proehl will catch more passes. That makes him a little more valuable against a Cincinnati defense that likely wont get burned deep by Johnson.
