College football DFS running back picks November 14:

Top Tier:

Wake is allowing 200 rushing yards per game. That’s great news for those willing to spend on Javonte Williams. Williams might have the highest ceiling on the entire slate. Michael Carter is a strong play for the price as well, but Williams is the guy that can put up lineup-changing numbers.

Kyren Williams is finally starting to pick up the touchdowns that Book poached earlier in the season. I’m not willing to say this trend continues. He feels overpriced here. Brenden Knox and Javian Hawkins have higher ceilings for lower prices. Their floors are more stable as well.

Middle Tier:

This could be an interesting time to play Leddie Brown. The TCU defense has quietly allowed 178 rushing yards per game. Brown has no backup and a passing game that doesn’t always hold up it’s end of the bargain. Brown should get a lot of work here.

I’m still running Stevie Scott in many lineups. I don’t see the huge upside for Kenneth Walker. If he doesn’t get the touchdowns, he’s a bust. Scott puts up big yardage totals with his touchdowns, so I’ll take the floor, higher ceiling, and savings.

The middle tier was gutted by the canceled games, but that highlights a guy like Trestan Ebner. Ebner has a very low floor, but the Bears have proven that they will get him as many touches as they can. He’s a nice GPP dart throw. However, Cam’ron Harris has a much better matchup and could put up big numbers if King doesn’t hog all the stats again.

Bargain Shoppers:

This is an interesting spot for Dedrick Mills. Nebraska’s quarterbacks steal carries, but if McCaffrey starts, Mills could be in for a nice boost. He’s a better passer than Martinez and Mills caught six passes last week. He has a high floor for a bargain play and the upside is there against a Penn State defense that is really struggling.

Vavae Malepeai is a big part of the USC offense. The timeshare in the backfield caps his upside, but he looks really cheap here against Arizona. So does Markese Stepp, who led USC in carries last week. Malepeai still had more yards.

Michigan State is going to have an easier time running on Indiana and Jordon Simmons appears to be the lead back. Heyward will take some carries, but near starter volume on a guy that costs $4,100 can’t be ignored.
