Off: Atlanta Falcons (3-6) and Dallas Cowboys (2-7)

Falcons: After reaching the Super Bowl in 2016 and going back to the playoffs one year later, the Falcons own a combined 17- 24 record since. The club parted ways with head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff after a 0-5 start. Under interim head coach Raheem Morris, the club owns a 3-1 record but still has a lot of work to do if it wants to make a playoff run. And that could be easier this year with the expanded field of seven entries per contest. But the Falcons need to find some semblance of a defense as Matt Ryan and company have had few issues scoring points (243). Meanwhile, Atlanta has surrendered 251 points – 99 in the fourth quarter.

Cowboys: The cowboys were highly competitive last week against the undefeated Steelers but squandered a 19-9 lead by allowing 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. And scoring on Dallas this year has been the easiest thing to do in the league as Mike McCarthy’s club has surrendered a league-worst 290 points. The club has utilized four different starting quarterbacks and while Garrett Gilbert made a fine account of himself last Sunday versus Pittsburgh, the club figures to go back to Andy Dalton when they take the field in Week 11 vs. the Vikings. Still, it’s already been a bitterly-disappointing year for a club that was already having issues when Dak Prescott was healthy.
