After missing the majority of the season due to a knee injury, Nick Chubb returned in Week 10 and scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter against Houston.

Welcome back, Nick Chubb. Out since Week 4 after suffering a knee injury, the former Georgia standout was activated from Injured Reserve earlier this week and figured to play a big role in Cleveland’s offense.

With both the Browns and Texans looking sluggish on Sunday, Chubb just came up huge for his team, scoring a fourth-quarter touchdown to put his team up 10-0 at home against Deshaun Watson and Co.

Nick Chubb has been a lone bright spot for the Browns on Sunday against Houston

With the Browns clinging to a 3-0 lead, Baker Mayfield and the Browns decided to feed Chubb with consistency, and he delivered with his nine-yard score. As of this writing, Chubb has rushed the ball 17 times for 68 yards. Browns fans everywhere were bummed when he went down with his injury in Week 4, but it’s been great to see him come back and waste no time in returning to top form.

Entering Sunday’s showdown with the Texans, the Browns were the owners of a 5-3 record. It’s been a bit of an up-and-down year for the squad, which has been loaded with injuries. On top of Chubb’s trip to IR, first-year head coach Kevin Stefanski also saw Odell Beckham Jr. go down with his season-ending ACL injury. Beckham has since had successful surgery.

Should Cleveland hang on to beat the Texans, they’d improve to 6-3 on the campaign. And if this team wants to make a push for the postseason, they’ll need Chubb to not only stay healthy, but to keep trucking over would-be tacklers with consistency.
