The 1-2 start by the defending NFC South champions was but a distant memory as the Saints brought a five-game winning streak into their clash with the visiting 49ers. But Sean Payton’s team was down 10-0 in the second quarter. Once again, running back Alvin Kamara came up big despite totaling only 98 yards from scrimmage. He scored all three of the team’s touchdowns. But where was Drew Brees by game’s end? (see Josh Alper of PFT).

Mike Tomlin’s club look to extend the best start in the history of the franchise as the Steelers returned home for the first time since Week 6 and face the improved Cincinnati Bengals. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 243 yards and two scores in the first half as the AFC North leaders owned a 22-7 lead at intermission. He finished with 333 yards and four scores, while the defense sacked Joe Burrow four times and the team came up with two more takeaways.

Andy Reid’s defending Super Bowl champions are in the midst of four-game winning streak and dating back to last season and including the club’s 2019 playoff run common, the Chiefs own a 17-1 overall record in their last 18 outings. It’s hard to be better than quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has thrown 25 touchdown passes and just one interception while not losing a fumble. Now if only Steve Spagnuolo’s run defense was a little stauncher?
