14. Arizona State Sun Devils

The Pac-12 was a bit wacky last season, but Arizona State looked like a potential tournament team after winning at least 20 games for the third straight year. The Sun Devils also got a massive boost to their squad with Remy Martin’s decision to forego the NBA Draft and return to school for his senior season.

Martin was one of the most explosive players in the Pac-12 last season, averaging 19.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. A potential Player of the Year candidate in the conference, Martin should be the key to a potential Pac-12 winning team.

The Sun Devils will also bring back Alonzo Verge, who chipped in 14.1 points per game for good measure and add five-star freshman Josh Christopher to their starting lineup. Christopher, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, is Arizona State’s highest-rated recruit in program history. He’s capable of shooting proficiently from deep and penetrating as well.

That kind of firepower should lead the Sun Devils to play in a lot of high-scoring games, which is a great reason to stay up late and watch their games. The basketball version of #PAC12AfterDark will be significantly enhanced when Arizona State takes the floor.
