2. Clock malfunction in Tennessee

Seven officials operate on the field during an NFL football game. Despite having every inch of the gridiron covered with a pair of looming eyes, none of those individuals noticed that the first quarter had ended in the Colts-Titans Thursday night game, and nearly gave the Titans an extra play as a result.

While the officiating crew did eventually fix the unforced error, placing the ball back at its original spot, I think we can all agree this took a stupendous amount of game mismanagement.

If you’re counting along at home, that’s three solid Mississippi’s after the clock hit triple zero. Three! What’re we doing?! Poor Philip Rivers and Frank Reich nearly lost their collective minds, as if they were arguing a conspiracy theory on the field of play (all they were missing was tin foil hats).

In the end, all is right with the world, but it shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place. This is exhausting.
