5. Danilo Gallinari

Other than our honorable mention Paul Millsap, Danilo Gallinari is the oldest player on this list at age 32. He’s also the most injury-prone, having played in 70 or more games only twice in his 12-year career. The last time he reached that threshold was in 2012-13, right before he tore his ACL. If the Suns invest in Gallo, they’d have to bank on him missing at least 15-25 games right off the bat. That’s a potential issue given that Chris Paul typically misses 10-20 games a year now too.

However, it’d be irresponsible to ignore the throwback year he just enjoyed alongside CP3 in Oklahoma City (18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 40.5 percent shooting from deep), which came off his initial resurgence the year prior with the LA Clippers (19.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game on 43.3 percent long-range shooting). He also played in 62 and 68 games in those seasons, respectively, so he’s not a complete liability from a health standpoint.

With that being said, as much as Gallo’s shooting, slashing ability and competent team defense would undoubtedly upgrade the Suns’ prospects for 2020-21, there will likely be a very competitive market for the Italian’s services. The risk might not be worth the potential cost, especially with his age and injury history.
