Start:

Alex Smith, WAS, vs. CIN

Alex Smith started his first game since his gruesome leg injury in Week 10 and all but locked up the Comeback Player of the Year award. But what he also did was show that there’s a good chance that the Washington Football Team can be a playoff team behind the lead of Smith, who totalled 390 yards through the air. In a matchup vs. the Cincinatti Bengals, there’s a chance for him to have another great game and even get a touchdown for himself this week. He’s a top waiver wire selection this week.

Jameis Winston, NO, vs. ATL

Drew Brees is hurt meaning fantasy football’s favorite son is back in the spotlight. Jameis Winston made his grand return to game action last week and will now make his first start this week for the injured Brees. Luckily, his offense around him is stacked and the Atlanta Falcons are not very god at stopping the pass. Winston could be the pickup of the week if Brees is out for any longer period than what we know now.

Sit:

Matt Ryan, ATL, @ NO

New Orleans defense has turned it around the past two weeks, meaning Matt Ryan could be in big trouble come Sunday. The top options above are far better choices, even with the return of Calvin Ridley coming. It just doesn’t look like an ideal day for the former MVP.

Ryan Tannehill, TEN, @ BAL

Ryan Tannehill has not been great as of late and struggled against the Indianapolis Colts the last time we saw him. Considering what the New England Patriots did to the Baltimore Ravens last week, expect a lot of work for Derrick Henry and the Ravens to play inspired this week as well. Not the best week to roll out Tannehill.
