Ronald Jones II – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jones has been a frustrating back to own in fantasy as volatile production has made him difficult to rely on, particularly in recent weeks. Jones had managed only 11.4 points in PPR leagues over the previous two games heading into Sunday’s encounter with the Carolina Panthers.

He rewarded fantasy owners who have stayed patient in stunning fashion, exploding for 192 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries as the Buccaneers got back to winning ways. Jones finished with 24.8 points in PPR scoring, his best performance since the Week 6 blowout win over the Green Bay Packers.

The bulk of his yardage came on an incredible 98-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that put the Buccaneers in command. Fantasy players and the Buccaneers will be hoping for further explosive moments from him down the stretch as Tampa Bay fights for the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

It was the fourth time this season that Jones has topped 100 yards on the ground. While he is not the most dynamic threat as a receiver out of the backfield, Jones proved on Sunday that he has game-changing plays in his locker.

If Jones can consistently deliver them over the coming weeks, fantasy owners in both standard and PPR leagues will have little hesitation about keeping him as their starter.
